The Boy with The Flying Machine

Master Rohit  Dey of class XI of KV NAL made the KVS proud by representing  the Kendriya Vidyalaya at the RASTRAPATI BHAVAN  for attending  the interactive session with His Excellency  the Honourable  President  of India Sri. Pranab  Mukherjee on 22nd March 2013 in connection with the Inspire Awards instituted by the Department of Science and Technology Government of India.He was the only KVS representation at the National level with his project titled “Quadcopter” under the guidance of his science teacher Mrs. Arti Prasad. Rohit  Dey also represented KVS at The “National Science Congress”, held in Kolkatta in January 2013.

          He has made Kendriya Vidyalaya NAL  and KVS Bangalore region very proud and indeed.

3rd Environmental youth conference Greening with Goethe which was held at the University of Bremen, Germany from 29th Nov 2013 to 1st Dec 2013

The Project Towards clean Storm water Drainage Systems in Bangalore  received 1st prize for the poster quiz and 2nd prize for the poster competition.

(Youth Conference held at Germany- Students of KV NAL)

Greening with Goethe Conference 2013 at Bremen, Germany

KV NAL Students participated in the 3rd environmental youth conference Greening with Goethe which was held at the University of Bremen, Germany from 29th Nov 2013 to 1st Dec 2013. A scholarship covering all expenses was provided by the Goethe Institute/Max Muller Bhavan. Altogether 74 students participated, among which 41 students were from India and 33 students from Germany.

Four Students from Class XA participated in the Conference with two Project:They wereTowards clean Storm water Drainage Systems in Bangalore (Medha & Shambhavi), Motorized and Non-Motorized Transportation (Sohini & Keerthana), which were well received.

(Journey towards Success – INSPIRE Awardee)

Rithwik Shankar Raj of class 7A, son of Dr K Rajendran and Dr Sajani Surendran of KV NAL has been awarded the INSPIRE award from the Department of Science and Technology [DST] along with Rs 5000 for developing an innovative project that will be exhibited at different level for the INSPIRE award in order to motivate young and enthusiastic children in the field of science and to foster scientific temper, that will come a long way for the nation.
